-Kicking off the night, Hulk Hogan came out and discussed a few issues. He talks about AJ Styles, what he is going to do, and when it will happen. Hogan talks about removing the ban on Sting's championship contract. Sting says he has the power and will defeat Ray at Slammiversary. Both guys talk about who is to blame, which prompts Brooke to come out and tell her side. Brooke says she is going to resign from her spot in charge of the Knockouts, but Bully Ray comes out from the crowd. Bully Ray says he still loves Brooke.
Instead of working a Bully Ray/Sting story, it seems like TNA wants to keep Brooke and Hulk in the picture. Will this lead to Brooke turning on her father and friend? This could be the easiest way for them to keep Ray as champion and "screw" over Sting and Hulk. I actually do not hate this. It has an Attitude Era feud to it and could be something that helps Aces and Eights from becoming irrelavant in a few months.

– James Storm picks Gunner as his partner for TNA Slammiversary. I do not hate this idea, but there are so many unused talents that should be getting the big spot. Why not Matt Morgan? He is a talented and freak sized athlete that would excel in a match with the excellence of Roode, Aries, Chavo, and Storm. Hopefully, he is used in a higher profile spot.
Grade: C
– It was decision time for AJ Styles. He drank a beer with Bully Ray and the boys. It looked like it was going to be an easy choice for Styles. Angle came out and talked to Styles, but he was attacked. Styles put the leather jacket on and was given a hammer. He attacked the knees of Kurt Angle and celebrated. Lastly, Styles attacked a few members of the Aces and Eights and ran off. Styles did not join the group. THANK GOD. If Styles would join, these past 6 months of him being by himself and mysterious would be a waste. Styles needs to ride solo. After being and leading stables in the past, this is the best character I have seen him portray. Also, I love how he attacked Angle. That match needs to happen, and it will. TNA cannot forget about that feud, even though Styles did not join Aces and Eights. Well done.
Grade: B+
Positives of the night: Mickie James' title victory, AJ Styles keeping his character going, and Kurt Angle giving a great match for free.
Negatives of the night: No Matt Morgan, again. Not enough of Chris Sabin and Kenny King. Inconsistent in building storylines that are not involving Aces and Eights.
