Title This: WWE Raw Reaction May 13th, 2013

The Storylines

– It was announced that Dolph Ziggler will not be medically cleared to compete at WWE Extreme Rules. His concussion will sideline him for the night, but we had another announcement.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger in an "I Quit" Match will be added, with the winner being the number one contender. This should be a good match. I would have made it a Submission Match, but this is almost the same. Anything that subtracts Dolph Ziggler is not going to be as good. The Ladder Match would have been predictable, but it would have been a match that included many high spots. In a night that may be bottled down with slower paced matches, this had all the pieces to be fast-paced and exciting. I expect Jack and Alberto to get about 20 minutes. This should be better than their fight at Wrestlemania.

Big E Langston and Jack Swagger fought a decent match on WWE Raw. This was the first time we saw an extended version of Big E. My biggest question was if Langston had the durability and endurance in the match. He took control of Swagger and showcased his strength. His strength ultimately cost him, as he would be counted out against Swagger after a missed clothesline. It made Swagger look somewhat weak, but did not harm Big E in the long run.

-Del Rio ran out and tried to attack Swagger. He would get a Patriot Act locked in until Ricardo interfered. Swagger would get taken down by Del Rio, but Langston would come back in. Del Rio hit a kick to Big E, and Del Rio would get the better of Swagger. It still seems like NOBODY cares about Del Rio. When he came out, I could hear a pin drop.
