Number 2: Eric Escobar
September 2009-January 2010
This guy fell flat from the very beginning. Eric Perez was the hottest superstar in FCW, where he was talked about being the star of his class. Instead, Sheamus seemingly was that guy. Looking back now, Escobar had his name changed when he came up to the main roster. Vickie Guerrero had Escobar hand in hand as soon as he debuted. In 2009, Vickie was still young at her craft and could not carry this superstar who lacked the look, the intensity, and the overall chemistry in the ring. If you remember, he won a match to be qualified to be on the Team Smackdown for WWE Bragging Rights. They quickly pulled him from the match. His first big victory was against Matt Hardy. His last “storyline” was Vickie dumping him and causing him hell on Smackdown. He went from heel to face in a few months and really never got over in the WWE. His last match was a squash against Kane, and then was released from his contract a month later.
