The Main Event
Mick Foley comes out to talk to Ryback. Earlier in the night, he commented on not knowing what Ryback is doing these days. Foley puts over Ryback, calling him a future WWE Champion. Ryback tells Foley to quit living in the old days and trying to sell his DVD. Ryback calls Foley, SuperCena, and the crowd stupid. John Cena comes out and saves Foley from a beating. They stare at one another until The Shield's music hits. Cena escapes, leaving Ryback surrounded. Cena chases off The Shield with a chair and then hits Ryback with an AA. The champion gets the upper hand tonight, but I have a little problem with some things.
First off, why Mick Foley? Is it because the next event is Extreme Rules? Why do we care what Foley thinks about Ryback? He has no direct connection with Ryback. He has no history with him. It simply makes no sense to me and is completely illogical.
Second, Ryback continues to lose big matches. Shouldn't be continue to get the upper hand against the WWE Champion? We all know Cena will win, but can we at least try to make Ryback a threat? If he continues to beat up Cena, it will give the fans just a thought that he may win. Instead, they worry too much about protecting Cena. They did not protect him a year ago and look what happened. 2012 was a great year for Cena to be vulnerable and face adversity. I want more of this.
