AJ Lee – One Step Up
And by proxy, Dolph Ziggler goes up if/when AJ wins the Divas Championship. That's honestly the most (and only) important thing to note here.
No offense to the divas — I've always been a big supporter and advocate for the division – but until WWE Creative decides to care about them, I won't. AJ is as good an option to hold that title as anyone they have on the roster, so in reality, why not her?
It's Dolph and his group's dynamic that benefits the most once AJ adds a second title to the mix. Perception is reality and the three of them will be perceived as a stronger unit when they're wielding more gold on television.
I like groups/factions in pro wrestling, and WWE could be doing much more with Dolph, Langston, and AJ. I'm hoping AJ's shot at the title is foreshadowing the fact they plan to do that moving forward.
