What’s NOT Bothering Me: Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, Fandangoing

Ryback#1. Ryback – To Heel Or Not To Heel

WWE's segment/explanation for Ryback on Monday was masterfully executed. Scripted, produced, and well thought out creatively.  I had my concerns they would fail trying to accomplish even that.

I'm still not convinced pairing Ryback with John Cena so quickly is the best thing for Ryback, but he's not WWE's primary concern in the end. It's John Cena as always. And quite frankly, there's simply very few options for the new WWE Champion.

Ryback wasn't necessarily the best option – he was one of the ONLY options.

Those reservations aside, I'm intrigued by Ryback's "half" heel turn. The mystery behind his recent actions and how the live audiences will react to him going forward, opposite Cena, certainly has potential.

Most fans – myself included – when talking about Ryback's possible limitations is the fact he's too one-dimensional. This new change of direction certainly solves that temporarily, but it remains to be seen what type of longevity he really has as a main eventer.

That being said, he's reaching a year already and that's nothing to sneeze at these days.

I'm rooting for Ryback though. I think it says something about his real-life character and drive to be with Vince as long as he has and just now find a spot that seems to fit.
