Our next “Top 10 Moments” video featured Team Mexico winning the World X Cup tournament in Ultimate X action.
Anthony Nease and Rasad Cameron cut a promo backstage about being the future and evolution of TNA and the X-Division. Cameron says he’s already proven his worth, and is different than anybody who has ever competed in TNA.
Anthony Nease & Rasad Cameron vs. Doug Williams & Kid Kash
This match is being booked as “Old School vs. New School”. Williams and Kash use a lot of rest hods and work a slower pace, while the younger guys pull off a lot of X-Division style stunts. Nease and Cameron controlled a lot of the match, as the more technical workers – especially Doug Williams – couldn’t keep up with their speed. Eventually the “old school” team figure out how to use their superior size in their favor, and as soon as Kash got Rasad Cameron out of the ring, Doug Williams was able to put away Nease with the Rolling Chaos suplex.

This second match definitely benefited from the more recognizable names, and there’s no doubt all four workers can go in the ring. I liked the different styles each team brought to the match, which also translated into a pretty fun – albeit simple – story to watch unfold. Like I said, the high flyers controlled the majority of the action, so it really felt like this match was just a way for TNA to test the waters with Anthony Nease, which I honestly have no problems with. The 27-year-old New Yorker is a phenomenal talent with a great size and shape for an X-Division athlete; why he’s not a TNA mainstay by this point is beyond me.
