The Storylines
-James Storm comes out and calls out AJ Styles. He is seen standing in the crowd and just listens to what Storm has to say. He talks about being in the same spot as Styles is in a year ago. It is funny because they were very similar in how they are handling the storylines. Storm and Styles are both TNA guys, so the similarities are already there. I liked how Styles did not even blink once when Storm was talking. He is finally evolving into something different. I think it is hilarious that something as simple as a beard makes someone go from a pretty boy to a badass. He has the look right now. I am curious if they will make him join Aces and Eights. I hope not because he will be in a huge group like he was with Fortune and somewhat be overlooked. Even though he was the fact of that faction, he still was crowded with too many people.
Grade: B
DOC, Wes Brisco, and Garrett Bischoff defeated Kurt Angle, Eric Young, and James Storm in a match that was pretty average. I know this is not just my opinion, but I cringe each time Garrett gets in the ring. Something as simple as taking a punch from Angle looks like he is trying way too hard. He is so mechanical and you can see him thinking about every move he does. Maybe it will come in time, but Garrett needs to focus more on the natural motions in the ring. The finish occurs when Angle locks in an Ankle Lock but Brisco rolls him up from behind to steal the win. It was an alright match with nothing great to write home about. I am happy the heels got over. You cannot continue to book a stable and have them important, but lose.
