#1. Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston
“And NEW Tag Team Champions of the World!” – certainly has a nice ring to it.
The latest rumors circling around the IWC claim Dolph and his bodyguard could be challenging for the tag team titles at WrestleMania this year. It’s certainly out of left field, but I can’t say I mind it.
I’ve lost faith, for now, in some sort of decent, established “division” for tag teams, so why not give a singles star more of a rub holding the titles. It’s no different than what we have now with Kane and Daniel Bryan as champs.
Dolph could very well hold off cashing in his MITB contract until after WrestleMania, and closer to July when his one-year expiration date is up. OR…he could win the tag titles and the World Heavyweight Championship on the same night. Talk about momentum.
It should come as no surprise I feel this way; I’ve been one of Dolph’s biggest supporters for years now. I know I’m not alone either.
When you think about it, who else does WWE have to challenge Kane and Bryan for the titles right now? They split up the only tag team with half a chance in Rhodes Scholars. The Shield is the only ones I could see making sense, but it looks like they have other plans for the big show on April 7th.
Let Dolph and Big E. have a crack at them. It would be great for Dolph, plus it allows Kane and Daniel to move on. And that’s something I don’t think could happen soon enough.
