The Main Event
-Throughout the night, we saw Alberto Del Rio outside with a pipe waiting for The Big Show. This carried on for a few segments, and Del Rio did an excellent job at evolving his character. He did not have the suit, the tie, or the rich look. He looked like he wanted to fight, and that is something we rarely saw from him in the past. Finally, The Big Show arrives in his bus and gets attacked by Del Rio. They run around the car, and Show gets hit on top of it. He finally is able to get into a car and escape. Del Rio's match with Dolph Ziggler is next.
Alberto Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler in a fun and exciting match to watch. Ziggler was able to use the outside interference of Big E Langston to get the offensive advantage. During this period, Ziggler grounded Del Rio, connected with a beautiful dropkick, and hit his patented hanging DDT. As the match continued, Del Rio fought back with brutal and excellently timed kicks to Ziggler's head, body, and legs. Alberto does such a great job at targeting a specific area, working on that for the match, and finishing off his opponent with ease. He was able to reverse a great move by Ziggler into the submission armbar. Finally, Del Rio celebrates the victory until The Big Show appears on the screen. Big Show ends up punching out Ricardo Rodriguez, and Del Rio runs to the back. This ends Smackdown, and ends it on a riveting note. You need to see your face champion overcome adversity, climb obstacles, and beat the big bully. Big Show is a guy who everyone moans and groans when they see him. Del Rio will be the guy to continue this feud because he is growing up so fast as a face. This only interests me to see what happens next, and that is NUMBER ONE on the list of what to accomplish.
