Impact WrestlingThe Undercard:

Magnus defeated Devon by Disqualification to kick off the action from Manchester. This match was specifically designed to get heat on Devon by getting a hometown boy some action. Magnus, considering he does nothing for TNA, is actually not a bad wrestler with a solid build. He is a guy that has some unique offense, with a few kinks in his armour. Devon was really good in the match to get heat from the crowd, act cocky, and not look overpowered. Magnus gets the upper hand on Aces and Eights, throwing them out of the ring. So, Aces and Eights beat down Sting, Bully Ray, and the entire wedding but Magnus takes all of them on and clears the ring of them? Grade: C

Joseph Park defeated Robbie E in a very simple and predictable match. Robbie E continues to be a guy that gets everyone over. He is a heel Zack Ryder, with nowhere to go due to his gimmick and his ability to adapt to many different sizes in the ring. I like Robbie E and feel it is ashame that he cannot progress and climb the ladder in TNA. The match had Park slow out of the gates, but would "hulk" up and hit a big splash off the ropes for a victory. Grade: C

Austin Aries defeated Chavo Guerrero to earn a championship match for the tag titles next week. This was a great match, possibly match of the night for the live crowd. They were really behind Aries throughout the match, even though he is the heel. Aries made Chavo look very strong, as Chavo started the attacks to the legs of Aries. He hit some German Suplexes, followed by some mat technique work. This made Aries have to overcome the flurry of offense and, with a distraction from Hernandez and Roode, connected with his Brainbuster. Great work from both men, with excellent chemistry and timing from one move to the next. Grade: B

James Storm and Velvet Sky defeated Tara and Jesse in mixed tag team action. This was a one sided affair, with Sky and Storm controlled the entirety of the match. Sky is still being pushed as a contender to Tara, and will most likely stay in that position. I feel really bad for James Storm because he is a talented guy who has more than one standard in the ring. He is consistently being pushed down the ladder, and I feel like he deserves so much more. His feud with Bobby Roode was excellent, and he was a HUGE part of it. Storm is athletic enough as a big man to face guys like Styles and Hardy, while the power game and ground and pound technique is what brought him to the dance. Now, he just needs to find someone that is actually worthy of a feud with. I would not mind Storm helping a younger guy out, or even potentially get personal with Aces and Eights again. Grade: C
