Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Moments of 2012

Number 9: The Debuts

WWE NXT

In the year 2012, we had many debuts, but none were more interesting and shocking than The Shield at Survivor Series. They would take out Ryback, only a month after Brad Maddox screwed the monster inside Hell in a Cell. The debut brought three of the most ready rookies to the big leagues in a heart beat, and gave the WWE new life to work with. The debuts of these three guys were excellent, but we can also throw Big E Langston and Brodus Clay. January 9th, I remember finding out Brodus Clay was a Funkasaurus, and what the hell was this? Damien Sandow was a delighful surprise, and continues to interest me. He certainly can be a big piece in the future of the WWE. Whether the debuts were a shock in a positive or negative way, I still look back and see many positives things that came out of bringing these guys up. Some floated, some sank, but we got some fresh talent to watch and absorb. We will see more in 2013, and I think it could be a year that has even more big players.
