Number 1: John Cena
Of course John Cena does not NEED to win the rumble match, but it makes complete sense. Last year was supposed to be “Once in a Lifetime” between him and Dwayne. Well, with current plans having those two face off again, but for the WWE Championship, this makes the most sense and gives you time to build in a different way that a year ago. They will have more opportunities to make it magical, even though I am not the biggest fan of this pairing. John Cena had a horrible 2012, so 2013 would kick off the right way. This is going to be a year where Cena thrives, in every situation. WWE writers put him through some absolute garbage a year ago, and he deserves much more. Cena will be a great choice to win the Royal Rumble simply for the fact that he is still your face of the company. Love him or hate him, Cena sells and that is what WWE is all about this time of year. What will sell more than Rock vs. Cena for the WWE Championship? Maybe, just maybe, WWE will be smart and avoid this. Money talks, folks.
