Number 5: Dolph Ziggler
Nobody in WWE or TNA has had a roller coaster type year like “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler. 2012 kicked off with Ziggler competing in the WWE Championship match against CM Punk. He put on an excellent performance, and many people thought he was ready to stay on the top. That was not the case, as he was thrown with Jack Swagger in a tag team with little desire to be connected to the audience with. Ziggler continued to work and try to get better in all aspects. He improved greatly on the mic, added new moves to his arsenal, and finally got his Money in the Bank briefcase. He competed in championship matches into the summer against Sheamus, beat Jericho in a contract match, and even gotten to a feud with John Cena and AJ Lee. He has done it all, besides win the world title in 2012. Nonetheless, his popularity and intensity grew each week in front of our eyes. Dolph became the internet favorite, the heel of all heels, and will be even better in 2013. He was here to show the world that he belonged in matches with Cena and Punk.
