Number 7: Bobby Roode
2012 was the year of Bobby Roode. Roode claimed the championship in November of 2011, but would hold it for the majority of 2012. He defeated guys like RVD in a Ladder Match, James Storm in a Steel Cage Match, Mr. Anderson, Sting, and even AJ Styles to become the longest reigning champion in company history. He has been a guy that I always thought could be a perfect fit for the WWE mold. After cutting his hair, he looked more business and professional. Every wrestler wants to have that manly look, but Roode made sure he secluded himself from the TNA normality. Roode would lose the championship to Austin Aries, but still put on great matches and storylines with James Storm. If I could pick one guy from TNA to start a new company with, this may be the guy. Bobby Roode, 2012 was the year for you.
