Title This: WWE Raw Reaction: Slammy Awards Edition

WWE RawNote: The reaction for this article will be altered for this special WWE Slammy Awards episode. Since most of the matches were not worthy of discussing and breaking down, I will react to the important and meaningful topics from last night.

The Undercard

Rey Mysterio defeated Damien Sandow in a match that was quick and got the crowd interested early. I was shocked to see Mysterio pick up the win, as I assumed these two tag teams would end their feud a night ago. Mysterio and Sandow could have had a great match, if they were given time. They were only given about 4-5 minutes, and it showed in its lack of creativity. Grade: C

Kaitlyn defeated Eve. This was another match where I did not expect the winner to come out how it did. Last night, Eve made quick work of Naomi in a title match, and tonight she gets handled easily by Kaitlyn. Although I was happy to see this, I wonder why we could not have seen this match one night ago. Kaitlyn hit a nice gutbuster after reversing Eve's move, and really looked aggressive. Well done, but what will this feud make of the two? It has seemed to consistently been a roller coaster ride from the beginning, with few ups and more downs. Grade: C

Cody Rhodes defeated Sin Cara in an entertaining match on Raw. Finally, after 90 minutes, we get some decent action. Cara started the offense early with a suicide dive onto Rhodes on the outside. I loved the physicality of Rhodes, where he stepped on his throat and chest. He is not going to be the most technically sound superstar, so showing a ruthless side will never hurt the progression of his character. The finish came when Cara tried for his finisher, but Rhodes ducked and hit Cross Rhodes for the win. Grade: B

-Brodus Clay, Kofi Kingston, and The Great Khali all picked up victories in squash matches that are better suited for WWE Superstars, not WWE Raw. Grade: D
