WWE has hired former D-X member and tag team champion, Billy Gunn, to a full-time training position. My VOW buddy is moving on to bigger and better things and I’m very happy for him. He’ll do well.
The developmental system has made quite a few changes over the past few years – some for the better, some not – and there could be more changes coming soon. The recent attacks on trainer Bill DeMott by former trainee Kevin Matthews is not going unnoticed, so I hear, and I can’t say I blame them. I’m not claiming to know much more than that, but it will be interesting to see how that plays out.
Adding Gunn to the mix offers hope at the very least. Jim Ross’s high praise for Gunn is seconded by plenty, and from an in-ring standpoint, the NXT stars are in very good hands.
I also recall the positive impression Kip made at Raw1K as well, so don’t be surprised if he shows up on a television set near you at some point in the future. He’s still in incredible shape, BG still knows how to talk, and the tag team division is just getting interesting. Why not throw them in there for something temporary?
If you’re not down with that…
