The Main Event
Throughout the night, it was all about Bully Ray's relationship with Brooke Hogan, and then Hulk's reactions. The night started with this and ended with this. Aries made a fantastic dig at Brooke when saying the desk was not comfortable and he doesn't know how she layed on her back on it. That ignited the crowd. I really am interested in seeing where this feud will end up going, but I do love that Aries is the instigator, but Hulk is still eyeing Bully Ray. He has never trusted Ray, and that has been documented many times. Also, will Hogan book Ray vs. Aries? He has to, right? Who would Hogan help though? There are many questions without answers, and it looks like this is the biggest story for TNA right now. Is it the best choice? No, but it certainly will make Ray and Aries important without having to chase the World Championship.
Austin Aries defeated RVD via Disqualification in the main event of the night. Even though many people will not remember it, but this was a solid match. RVD is similar to Aries in many ways, with his utilization of kicks and fast paced offense. Aries impliments more submission moves, but he is also much more youthful and can adapt easier to different talents. After a great match, Ray tried to attack Aries, but he escaped. Aries stood between Ray and Hulk, not knowing where to go. Solid ending to a night of action that was a MILLION times better than the past two weeks. They progressed every important storyline, even though Hardy/Rood got the shaft, put on great wrestling, and really continued their push to Final Resolution. Grade: A-
Impact Wrestling Grade: B+
