The Stories
– Aces and Eights took a backseat tonight, with not much involvement live. We saw Devon telling us about when or who they will strike next, but that is about it. It was a let down for me. You have to do more than that with these guys, especially since the past two months have been about them. Something, anything.
–Wes Brisco won a contract with TNA, and deservingly so. Brisco has the pedigree, yes, but he has an appeal that few men have. I will admit, he looked like a sad puppy tonight when they were about to announce their decision, but he has the abililty to learn from a guy like Kurt Angle to thrive in the business. If anyone knows how to be successful, it has to be Kurt. With Kurt and Garrett coming out and celebrating, you can obviously see Wes will face some main event spotlight in the near future. He has a great build, the tattoos are different and make him stand out, and he will capitalize on his name to get over in the company. Grade: B
-Jeff Hardy came out and saved Christian York from more of a beatdown from Bobby Roode. Yes, we get to see the champion, but for only 2 minutes? Why wouldn't they try and do more with Roode and Hardy, and this was not even at a prime spot in the show lineup. Styles, RVD, Brisco, Ray, Brooke, and many more got more attention than the World Champion and his opponent. Grade: D
