#1. Jeff Hardy & Austin Aries Steal The Show
It's somewhat of a double-edged sword for me as their size prevents me from enjoying the feud as much as I should, at least as it pertains to the World Heavyweight Championship. If Hardy/Aries was taking place outside of the main event, I wouldn't be negative at all, but it's hard not to notice when you go from Roode as long-term champion to Aries and Hardy.
That being said, last night's match between the two was simply incredible to watch. Major credit even goes to Jeff Hardy, who I've never really been a major fan of, for going out there and working his ass off.
Austin Aries reminds me of CM Punk in a lot of ways, but his natural ability to act, in any situation, is the thing I see he has most in common with the WWE Champion. Both men can adapt to any scenario seamlessly and make it feel genuine. Their ability to connect on the mic is a huge reason why that's the case.
I think last night was a good finale to their feud, for now, and I hope both men move on to something substantial from here. Hardy is the biggest "star" TNA has, so they should continue making the most of the time they have with him. Aries, I'm sure, will continue to deliver each week without being in the title picture.
If you didn't see Turning Point last night, I wouldn't tell you to jump through hoops to do so, but I don't think you would be disappointed if you did. The main event between Jeff Hardy and Austin Aries was very good, period.
