Title This: WWE Super Smackdown Reaction 11-6

WWE SmackdownThe Undercard:

WWE Super Smackdown was not packed with the usual two matches that lasted under 5 minutes. If you are a fan of professional wrestling stories told inside of the ring, this was the right night for you.

Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz to retain the Intercontinental Championship. The first match of the night was extremely intense from the get go. I felt like The Miz was able to do what he does best, and that is sell his opponent as being superior to him. Yes, there has to be a balance in the match, but this match was perfect for the continued push of Kingston. The Miz got the early advantage, but Kofi came back with Boom Drop, but did not finish him with Trouble in Paradise. Instead, he hit a beautiful looking crossbody off the top rope for the victory. After the match, Miz tries to shake his hand but cheap shots Kofi. Kingston would end up getting the better of Miz. I really enjoy these two young talents working in the ring, with Miz making Kofi look great. I do have to say that Kingston usually looks good with anyone, so let's give him some credit in connecting with his moves, executing them without flaw, and continuing to get the crowd behind him each week. Grade B+

Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio lose to Primetime Players. One night after a six man tag victory for the masked superstars, they suffer a loss to the much more improved and solid tag team of Darren Young and Titus O'Neil. Once again, I continue to stress the improvements in the ring from O'Neil. He has become a quiet favorite of mine because of his overall appear. He is a guy that can be relied on for his strength, as well as his personality. His bark is cocky, annoying, and that is exactly what he is supposed to be doing. His finisher, Clash of the Titus, is extremely appropriate for him. He is able to showcase his strength without having limitations on his opponents. I still believe these two teams will be around for a while and create a small feud, but they both need to have their eyes on the prize. Well done for this match, and the continued improvements of all men as a tag team unit. Grade: B
