The Main Event
Ryback and John Cena defeated Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk. The last match of Raw was a solid one. For once, Cena was the guy who took the continuous beatdown throughout the match. I absolutely loved how Ziggler hit elbow drop after elbow drop onto Cena. This is a great way to showcase his endurance, while making the stronger Cena look weaker. Ziggler and Punk worked great together in the match, with quick tags and team work that looked flawless. Punk would end up getting attacked from a hot tag to Ryback. Ryback cleaned house, hit a few moves, and pinned the champion. I thought this was the right call, even though it did not take much for him to pin Punk. Let there be more action to it, some drama, and not just a clean pin for Ryback. My biggest thumbs up was Cena and Ryback facing off at the conclusion of Raw. This was the first time we saw these two guys show some sort of emotion towards one another. With a Triple Threat Match, create two or three angles and storylines inside of it. That is the best way to get the crowd interested, especially with a polarizing figure like Cena and Punk. Ryback is the wild card, but the most intriguing piece. Well done to finish off a solid Monday Night Raw.
