TNA Bound For Glory 2012: What Did & Did Not Bother Me

What Did AND Did Not Bother Me: Tag Team Match

I loved the tag team title match, all the way until the end. Then, I disliked the tag team title match.

First, let's talk about the wrestling. It was a spotfest, true, but sometimes that's okay.

I see so many tweets from wrestlers using "spotfest" in a negative way all the time. Why? Because you think fans will think less of the match? I think you're giving us too much credit when it comes to these "stories" you guys are telling in the ring.

We just want to be entertained, and all six men went out there and entertained us last night, period.

Then, the finish came.

I just can't stand stereotypical gimmicks, especially when it pertains to race. The Mexican tag team has existed in TNA since I can remember, and they RARELY get over to any major degree.

Even worse, Hernandez is ALWAYS involved! Anarquia…Homicide…now Chavo. I'm aware they threw Matt Morgan in there with Hernandez, but I think the original plan was to try and convince us Morgan was Mexican as well.

The hot Phoenix crowd last night went dead as soon as the ref counted to three and they realized this incredible match was ending with Chavo and Hernandez as the champs. They should have kept the straps on Daniels and Kaz until a worthy team was ready to go.

That is, IF they want fans to care about the division.

What DID Bother Me: Devon???

I thought Aces & Eights as a whole took a big step backward last night.

First, Hulk Hogan comes out and lays waste to damn near all of them while Sting and Bully Ray could hardly manage two.

Then, and worst of all, Devon is the "big reveal" we were all waiting for and expecting.

When did Devon become this hot commodity? I must have missed it. At least it was acceptable as the TV Champion, but as the first major reveal of your big surprise angle? That's just silly.

I'm positive Devon isn't the "leader" of Aces & Eights, and I would have had no problem with him being included in the group, but the first reveal should have been designated for someone bigger. This was months in the making and it culminated at your biggest pay per view of the year with Devon…

The live crowd looked truly stunned, but not in a positive way like I'm sure TNA wanted. It was just bad all the way around and I'm sure they'll let us know there's more to the angle as soon as they possibly can. As in, this Thursday on Impact.
