ROH Fans – One Step Down
Ring of Honor fans in Rahway, NJ got 35 some-odd minutes of a main event last night, yet they left upset, screaming vulgarities and throwing trash around like little children. 35 MINUTES! But they still weren't satisfied.
It's ridiculous and those taking part should be embarrassed.
I'm sure ROH officials knew the reaction would be less positive than normal, but I can't imagine they expected "crazy" to happen. And they shouldn't, either. No fan should be that selfish.
I give credit to Ring of Honor for trying to tell a story, and I hope this debacle doesn't prevent them from continuing. If those fans are serious about quitting on the company after this, let 'em go. Hell, open the door and push them out. You can find new, better fans to replace them.
"But it says wrestling on the marquee, Chris! We want wrestling!"
That's not true; you got 35 minutes of "wrestling" and it still wasn't enough. You think you deserve a typical, no-nonsense finish on top of it. Well, you're wrong. ROH's show last night wasn't about YOU. It was about something bigger. At least, it's supposed to be.
I'm sure loyal Ring of Honor fans will understand that. And accept it.
