Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Rise and Falls From 2011
8. R-Truth- Fall
R-Truth was all set with a great heel turn. He was getting over with the crowd in a different way than he was before. Think about this, R-Truth main evented two Pay Per Views in 2011, facing John Cena at Capitol Punishment, and once again against Cena and The Rock (His return to the ring) at Survivor Series. DC and NYC, two huge atmospheres, and yet R-Truth could not stay there for long. He would immediately become just a bland memory when the 2012 year started. Although he is a Tag Team Champion, this is nowhere as important as he was this time last year. The WWE gave him time, gave him the ability to get over, but it did not have any longevity. His fall is very big, but not shocking. Did he ever really seem like a guy that could be on the level of Rock, Cena, Orton, and others? I certainly did not buy into it.
