Title This: WWE Raw Reaction 8/13/12

Layla and Kaitlyn def. Beth Phoenix and Eve

What I Liked:

Whoa, Raw features the WWE Divas Champion for once. This is different. The match started with a few botches, something that is uncalled for in any beginning of a match. I did pick up some positives, and that was with Kaitlyn. She has a similar look and intrigue to her that Beth Phoenix had when she first came to the WWE. The similarities are there, and Kaitlyn really showed some progression tonight. She picks up the win by rolling up Beth Phoenix, in a match that featured sloppy action and awkward timing.

What I Disliked:

The match, like I said, was not good. Also, let's look at Layla. What has she done since winning the WWE Divas Championship? She has not done one thing interesting. Even tonight, she felt like the fourth most important Diva, when she should be the most. Am I wrong here? Layla is just not cutting it as champion, and people really do not care.

CM Punk and John Cena def. The Big Show and Daniel Bryan

What I Liked:

CenaThis was not your typical tag team match, and I was alright with that. Punk and Bryan worked well in the ring together, really pushing the pace faster than it was. Once again, Big Show was seen as dominant when he was in the ring. He chopped down Cena with punches and headbutts, as well as a few times with Punk. The best part for me was when Punk tried to mimmick Cena, with his moves. Cena would counter that by hitting the Punk knee and Bulldog. This was comical and a clever way to show the hatred between the two. Bryan gets the loss here, which was the only real logical thing.

What I Disliked:

Okay, you built up the WWE Championship with two long segments. Where is Kane? This would have been the perfect time for Kane to come out and do something with Bryan. Instead, he gets buried quickly with an AA and takes the loss. I feel so repetitive, but build multiple angles and stories at one time. It makes things more intriguing, especially at a Go-Home show.
