Title This: WWE Raw Reaction 8/13/12

R-Truth def. Heath Slater:

What I Liked:

R-TruthI still get a kick out of Heath Slater and his gimmick. He is still funny to me, and someone that could easily have moderate success in his spot. R-Truth has not been in a ring in single's action for quite some time. You got to see an average match between two good athletes. There was nothing that I took out of this match though besides PTP attacking Truth at the end of the match. This was a great way to get them quick heat on Raw, especially with the departure of AW. This felt like an old school, Attitude Era-esque beatdown after the match.

What I Disliked:

Is there any relevance to this pairing? I mean, I get the fact that they want to showcase the tag champions more, but against Slater? R-Truth should have faced Primo or Epico, and then have PTP attack. Build stories in stories, especially when you get the chance to do so. With three hours, you have that chance to make people feel more important at a given time. This was just very random and did not do much in terms of wrestling entertainment.

Sin Cara def. Tensai:

What I Liked:

Nothing.

What I Disliked:

Seriously, this is the garbage they put on Raw? Tensai is absolutely brutal and made Cara look even worse than he is. You have a super heavyweight face off against a guy who is 175 pounds, and he loses! I have zero interest in saying any more than I need to here. Give Cara someone else to fight, because his abilities will never work with Tensai. Also, Sakamoto and Tensai… that is compelling TV. Another week of garbage when this overweight and boring character is featured.
