Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction 8-9-12

Imapct WrestlingOpening Segment:

What I Liked:

The night starts off with one of your best heels in Bully Ray, who accuses James Storm of leading the attacks. He does a great job to set the stage for Storm to come out and defend himself. I really liked the back and forth talk between two brawlers, neither really showing signs of being a coward until Ray leaves the ring. Aces and Eights appear on the screen and talk about how Sting invited them. They said they will be seen a lot, but only on their time. Intrigue, suspense, and the focal point of your show being on what everyone is talking about. This segment was booked almost perfectly.

What I Disliked:

We should have had more guys that were attacked to come out and confront Ray and Storm. It has been all about gang mentality, and this needed to be seen. We should have gotten more pieces.

Rob Van Dam def. Magnus

What I Liked:

The match was in a BFG series, which continues to run its course. Magnus is a solid talent, but RVD needed to win here to make himself a little more relevant.

What I Disliked:

The match did not do much for me, especially since it was only about 3-4 minutes. I can easily say that if you have seen one RVD match, you have seen them all. He needs to recreate himself to stay interesting, and not rely on moves that got him over  a decade ago. When was the last time we saw something different from him?
