#2. Chavo Guerrero To Be Major Player In TNA?
I mean no disrespect toward Chavo for the following opinion, but it's hard not to say something about TNA's extreme promotion and hype this past week for the former WWE superstar.
Is he talented? Absolutely. Is he valuable to a major fed like WWE or TNA? Of course. But is he the next guy you want to build your main event around? I don't think so.
This is a case where both TNA and Chavo need to play the cards they've been dealt. There's no bluffing in pro wrestling.
Chavo, at no fault of his own necessarily, spent too much time in Eddie's shadow. Vickie even came along and was given more support by Vince and WWE than Chavo.
Always the bride's maid, never the bride.
It might not have been fair, but it's the truth. And I don't blame Chavo for wanting to leave. But now, TNA is going to take that guy and attempt to make him a viable champion? Or champion contender, even? I don't see it.
If they couldn't do it with Angle, Anderson, Hardy, Lashley, etc…I'm willing to bet Chavo isn't the answer either.
Put that much incredible promotion and major hype into other talent and projects. You're better off and the chances that it might pay off are much higher.
