Impact Wrestling – One Step Down
I'm a DirecTV user. And yes, I'm pissed.
The issues between the prideful decision makers at DirecTV and the greedy decision makers at Viacom are costing me, and millions others, services we pay for each and every month. Impact Wrestling falls into that category, unfortunately.
The timing couldn't be any worse either. TNA has been doing a very solid job lately.
Roode has been tremendous, Aries is someone worth following, the X Division is showing promise (due to Aries' departure), and the BFG Series is already shaping up to be better than last year.
Even the Dixie Carter/AJ Styles/pregnant crack addict chick at least provides a few chuckle opportunities if you're into the whole "so incredibly bad, it's funny" content.
I didn't call the number though to try and keep them from dropping the channels. Does that mean I'm not allowed to gripe about it after the fact in the same way I'm not supposed to bitch about the president because I didn't vote? If so, I apologize for this particular part of my column.
I'm looking forward to the day when this situation gets settled and TNA is a big part of that reason. I'm not sure I could have said that two months ago.
On a side note, I think Obama has done a horrible job as president, but Romney is certainly not the answer either. Unfortunately, one of those will be our president for the next four-plus years.
