JAMES STORM – ONE STEP UP
I think every superstar, and potential superstar, should have premeditated time off. It should fit into current and future storylines and simply be used as a tool. It keeps them fresh, underexposed, and gives Creative more time to work on original, well thought out programs for not only them, but other talent in their absence.
There's no off-season in pro wrestling. This is the next best option.
Case in point, James Storm already "feels" like a bigger star since returning from a short two-month hiatus. They told the story well through video packages, he explained it well on the mic, and he's already had two decisive and important victories in his two appearances back.
He's now the clear favorite to win the BFG Series and I would imagine TNA leaves that alone. At least, I hope they do. Come Bound For Glory, Storm will be a predictable, yet very acceptible choice to beat Roode for the WHC. That is, if Roode can hold on to it that long.
And speaking of a guy that can keep that from happening…
