Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Entrance Theme Songs

Number 3: John Cena

John Cena

Boo him or cheer him. Love him or hate him. John Cena’s music may have had the biggest pop ever on Raw when he was introduced as a member of the Raw brand. “The Time is Now” is exactly what John Cena represents. He is the guy that the company relies on to sell merchandise, tickets, and PPV’s. When he broke into the main event level, you knew something was different about him. He was loved, then booed, then loved, and then back to being booed. The song erupts an arena like nobody else’s does in the WWE. The rap itself is decent, which is by Cena himself, but the beginning is much like Austin’s glass breaking. Things were going to pick up in a heartbeat. I can remember Cena’s old music, one in which it did not click with everyone. It was too gangster, too hard, and was not something you could listen to and not get sick of. Cena has done it all, and his reaction is thanks to the wonderful editing of his song each week to get the thousands on their feet in an instant.
