Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Entrance Theme Songs

Number 1: C.M. Punk

CM Punk

This was tough because I was not sure if “Cult of Personality” was suitable for number one. I loved his older theme, but this one is absolutely the best all around entrance theme song in the WWE today. It is fresh, even though it was recorded years ago by Living Colour. His transition into being the next “big” superstar was in large part of this song. We did not know what it was when we first heard it about 10 months ago, but look at where he is at now. The static noise is similar to NWO’s 15 years ago, but on a different level. It went from hating Punk to absolutely falling in love with him. His skills in the ring are incredible, his microphone skills are amazing, but this song is simply perfect from the first note to the last. He has a personality that a cult like following has connected to. Tell me a song that has changed a superstar this much over the course of a year. There is not one out there with more meaning, personally, to one person than this song to Punk. He is like Mussolini, Kennedy, he is the personality that is beloved by the WWE Universe, and why he deserves to be number 1.
