SPEAKING OF DOLPH…
It seems Dolph Ziggler has officially begun his next singles push. If you read my work, ever, you know that makes me happy. He's ready and there's no better time than the present.
Randy Orton's suspension (more on that in a minute) is unfortunate, but it does provide one certainty for guys like Dolph: opportunity! And that's the one thing Dolph needs most right now. Luckily, Ziggler is on a short list of go-to guys WWE has at their disposal to attempt filling the void Orton's absence will create.
Someone suggested to me via Twitter that Dolph should start a program with Brodus Clay. Given their recent history, I think this would be a great idea. I'd have Dolph be the first to beat Brodus clean. Have him declare his plan to do so beforehand even. It can take multiple attempts, but the end-result is inevitable.
In fact, let Dolph beat Brodus at MITB. Then, let Dolph win the MITB contract as well. It wasn't long ago Dolph was regularly competing in two matches on pay per views; let him to it again. This time, with dual success.
What's that? It would hurt Brodus Clay?
Who cares!? We're talking about creating a SUPERSTAR here! Sacrifices need to be made in order to do that and any setback it would cause Brodus could be handled at later date.
The win over Brodus might not be in the cards, but Dolph has always been my pick for MITB. If there are two versions of the match, I'd almost consider him a guarantee for one of them. If there's not, it's impossible to exclude Wade Barrett as a favorite, provided he's ready to return by then.
In either case, Dolph's ready. Let his rise begin.
