Title This: WWE Raw Reaction 5-28

SheamusSheamus def. David Otunga

What I Liked:

Sheamus gets an easy victory here, even though Otunga had a few offensive moves unlike last week. He uses chops to ground Sheamus, but Sheamus quickly took over and picked up the win. He hits White Noise and a Brogue Kick to beat Otunga. I want Sheamus to use the Brogue Kick for his finisher. It looks better and is more effective than something everybody does.

What I Disliked:

Another loss for Otunga, who continues to put over everyone else. Is this putting someone over when Otunga is not credible? There is the flaw when Sheamus wins but does nothing for his overall reign. Instead of having meaning on Raw, which is much more meaningful than Smackdown, Sheamus picks up a victory over someone who was beaten a month ago by Santino. Are we supposed to take him seriously? He has the body, but lacks so much more.

The Big Show vs. Brodus Clay in a No Contest

What I Liked:

You cannot have Brodus Clay win or lose here. It makes no sense either way. I thought they booked the end really well, considering it is The Big Show. You have to be careful with him because Clay cannot look stronger than Show, especially with what they are trying to do with him. His spear on Clay looked good, as well as them fighting back and forth for a minute. We finally get to see the humility that Clay possesses. Show ripped apart the announce table, which is something that was needed. He needs to cause chaos, and show that he really can take this angle to its full advantage. I felt he did that here and tonight.

What I Disliked:

I still am not sold on what they are investing into with Big Show. I guess all of his history shows that this will fail. He is a limited mid to upper card talent, and should not be a guy carrying Raw at this time. We get no Triple H or Brock Lesnar, or even Paul Heyman. Hell, we do not get John Cena. This show was dedicated to making the Big Show look like a force. I guess they did that, but I am not sold yet. It may be my preference, but Show is past his prime. This does not make me want to buy the PPV or even want to watch Raw. Plain and simple, he does not have the star power they think he has.
