CHRIS JERICHO – ONE STEP DOWN
I guess we will start this week with the huge monkey in the room.
There are two sides to this, as always. One, Jericho is smart enough to know the rules. He shouldn’t have risked it. The potential consequences greatly outweighed the rewards in this case. And now, he’s caused unnecessary problems for his employer.
They have every right to suspend him.
On the other hand, it’s sad that the world is so divided. And it’s sad that the rest of the world doesn’t view things the way we do. That’s arrogant, I know, but some cultures need to relax. I’m pretty certain Brazil still knows wrestling is an entertainment business.
Of course, maybe they don’t and I’m giving them too much credit.
Jericho is an asset to the WWE. He made a mistake. He should be punished. The only positive in this, if there is one, is the fact it was Jericho and he’s likely on his way out anyway. His temporary stay might be cut a little shorter.
It sucks, but WWE life will continue without him, again.
Maybe he can use this time off to come up with his next grandiose idea for a confusing, never-to-be-resolved return to WWE once this thing blows over.
