Opening Segment:
Hulk Hogan is in his office talking to Styles, Hardy, Ray, and Angle. Hulk Hogan basically asks all of the guys to state their case as to why they should face Roode tonight. Hogan talks about Roode becoming the longest champion in the company's history. Angle and Styles argue about why it is important to beat Roode for the history, and Ray chimes in and says that he intimidates everyone and has proven all that he can. Hogan tells Ray he will not face Roode tonight. Ray answers back by saying that Bischoff was right about Hogan. He leaves.
What I Liked:
Impact starts very dramatic, with a pre recorded segment with music bed below it and really draws out the importance of tonight's main event. I thoroughly enjoyed how this was pulled off. Each guy got a chance to state their case and talk about why they should face Roode, but Hogan was more of a moderator than a General Manager of the show. Bully Ray is excellent. His acting skills are real and not forced, and he really pushes the envelope on how to become a legit heel at an extended age. He only gets better. The intensity in the office shows you the level of significance tonight holds. It was more of a "drama show" than a wrestling program, but it worked.
Grade: A
Gail Kim and Madison Rayne def. Eric Young and ODB
What I Liked:
Before the match, Kim really got the crowd to hate her. She is an underrated talker who should continue to work on her skills outside the ring to be the most complete Knockout in the company.
What I Disliked:
The match was a complete joke. EY took advantage of a weaker opponent and looked rough in the ring. What is the point of having him fight women? There is no point, and there especially is no payoff. ODB should be the only Knockout that should fight with SOME men, but even that would not work. I really dislike how they book some of the better Knockouts like Kim, because it wastes her talent and creatively, it lacks any real story.
