Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction 5-24

Bobby RoodeBobby Roode def. AJ Styles to retain the World Heavyweight Championship

What I Liked:

This was a great match between both competitors who had a great story in the ring. Roode and Styles are both TNA born and bred guys who can really work. Styles had a great amount of offense on Roode, countering move after move and locking in great submission holds. Star power are the two words I give to Roode, who I always have been a huge fan of. The length of this match made it feel like a historic match, one that is more important on Impact that most of the other matches. I thought Roode transitioned from his fisherman suplex to a german suplex flawlessly. Just watch his timing in the ring with any competitor, as well as his dedication and craft to get better each week. He really is a complete player who would even thrive in the WWE.

What I Disliked:

Isn't Hogan supposed to be an unbiased authority figure? Yet, he brings Sting back and talks about how Roode still hasn't accomplished everything? There is a lack of logic. Anyways, I am frightened that Sting comes back and wins the championship which would be a HUGE mistake. You know Hogan wants something big to happen at the Live Impact next week, so be cautious of this happening. I really thought the return was not that fantastic, especially since Sting has nothing to prove by winning the TNA title. He is more nostalgia than anything and should be used that way.
