Mt. Killamanjaro: Over the Limit Preview & Predictions

Usually WWE’s Over the Limit PPV — or Judgement Day, pre-2010 — is in an awkward position. The main events from WrestleMania are concluding, affixed with some type of gimmick to make it really seem “final”, and the rest of the card feels slapped together to avoid getting into any major feuds before the summer kicks off. While I’d say “random” does indeed describe this event perfectly, in my opinion they’ve done a good job of building on things to come. WrestleMania is completely done and put away, and both brands have been doing a lot of shifting and setting things up for the future. Take a look…

YouTube Pre-Show: Zack Ryder vs. Kane

Zack RyderClever. WWE’s way of tying up loose ends with Ryder and Kane, avoiding clutter on the PPV card, and simultaniously bringing more traffic through their YouTube account. What I’m actually impressed with is they hinted at this — set it up, if you will — by having Ryder interfere in Kane’s match with Randy Orton at Extreme Rules. It was just a backstage attack during a Falls Count Anywhere match, but it was enough to justify this match on the pre-show. But can either of these guys really afford to lose? I think we’re going to see a good indication of whether WWE plans to take Kane on another summer hot streak, or attempt to further capitlize on the #RyderRevolution. Neither really appeals to me at this point.

Prediction: Kane wins
