Title This: WWE Raw Reaction 5-7-12

Alberto Del RioAlberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho def. Sheamus and Randy Orton:

What I Liked:

Great in ring action from Sheamus and Jericho. Both guys worked well together. Del Rio's kicks to the face of sheamus connected perfectly. The hot tag was to Orton, who hits a great DDT on ADR. The action was fast paced, and I really enjoyed how Del Rio looked stronger than anyone here. He carried a lot of the match with his wrestling, as well as his facial expressions and intensity. When tag matches have quick tags, it keeps the crowd interested. That is exactly what they did tonight. All of the action goes crazy, until Jericho hits a Codebreaker after Sheamus booted Orton. Excellent way for Jericho to impliment himself in the World Heavyweight Championship picture. Intelligent way to switch WWE and WHC feuds. He may not be involved immediately, but I think that would be a lot better than another 1-on-1 match. Lastly, Orton hitting the RKO on Sheamus made complete sense. Orton desperately needs to be the lone man, one who does not tag with others and cares for himself. Great stuff all around, building multiple feuds and angles in a great 15 minute segment.

What I Disliked:

A great match between all four of these guys.  Nothing went wrong here.

Grade: A

Backstage, Jericho talks to Laurinaitis and says he pinned Sheamus so he deserves a title shot. Del Rio and Orton say they deserve a match, and then we get Sheamus in to fight off Jericho and Del Rio from their attacks. Sheamus and Orton yell at one another, and then Laurinaitis makes it a Fatal Four Way. Excellent idea to keep all of these in the main event picture. I am actually excited to see this.

Brodus Clay def. The Miz:

What I Liked:

This was the first time that I thought Clay could lose, but then I realized that would not happen. I felt it was a smart way to book Miz when he really does not have much to do right now. Give him that time on the microphone before the match to emphasize how important he still thinks he is. Miz still gets a pop and still gets heat from the crowd. Clay hits a few moves and wins, just like he always does.

What I Disliked:

Please tell me why Clay is in the spot he is in. He cannot sell a move, cannot land well when being attacked, and is very limited in his offensive abilities. I like the song and the dancers, but what else can you do? We understand what he is, but why is he doing this each week? I cannot see him doing much else than what he is doing right now. He cannot fall like a big guy like Mark Henry can. He just is not that good, and let us all realize it.
