2012 Extreme Rules Predictions
Brock Lesnar defeats John Cena – I believe there's much more to the story that we haven't been told yet. The fact that WWE had Cena lose to Tensai (even with the interference and the green crap), plus they had the announcers acknowledge the recent losses (although it's hard to call it a "losing streak" really), I believe they are going to play that up even further after he loses to Brock this Sunday. I like the idea, too. Humanize him again, and make him change something to get back to his winning ways. And no, I don't mean turn him heel. Although…that's still the route I would take.
Chris Jericho defeats CM Punk – Let me preface by saying that I don't "want" this to happen. These are my predictions as to what "will" happen. Personally, I don't want to see Jericho win the title, but from a business standpoint, you probably only have him for a few more months before he leaves again. If that's accurate, then you need to milk him for all he's worth. I don't necessarily think that should require a title run, but Vince might.
Sheamus defeats Daniel Bryan – This is a "by proxy" situation. If I think Jericho is going to win the title, I can't see both major belts changing hands. Plus, Sheamus "just" won the thing. Again, my personal preference would be to have Daniel win it back and ride this wave while it's still rising. I can't see Vince pulling that trigger though and unfortunately, it wouldn't do Sheamus ANY favors if that were to happen. He's over, but he really needs some substance and adequate time on top.
Randy Orton defeats Kane – Kane won the last one, so Randy wins this. My logic is seriously that simple. Even though I'm still having a very hard time caring at all about this program.
