Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction 4-20

Opening Segment:WWE Smackdown

Daniel Bryan starts the show talking about Sheamus being a coward at WrestleMania. He says Sheamus will not be able to take short cuts in Chicago and that he will outwrestle him. He starts chanting "yes" until AJ comes out. Bryan immediately tells her to leave, but she says no and this is the only way to talk about their problems. Bryan says they have no problems to talk about. He bashes AJ until he says "no" about ever being together again. AJ cries.

What I Liked:

Bryan is getting better and better at being hated, even when everybody wants to chant Yes with him. He is turning a new page in his character and it is for the best. He is thriving with his interviews and promos, as well as continuing to be a great worker in the ring.

What I Disliked:

I am unsure what the payoff with AJ will end up being. Does she cost Bryan the title on purpose? There is not much of an end game here for her. I wonder if they are only doing this for AJ because bigger and better things are on the horizon for her.

Natalya def. AJ by DQ:

What I Liked:

AJ completely snapped in this quick segment. She attacks Natayla, a much larger and more powerful opponent, and really does a great job at looking upset and pissed off. I was waiting for her to have another change of emotions. We have continued to see the sad look and expression, but she finally grew a backbone. In terms of long term success, this did so much more for her rather than winning a regular match.

What I Disliked:

The focus of AJ in the beginning of the show was not the right call, even though it was interesting. This should have been done in the second hour. Let the beginning of the show have a lot of action and focus on a male superstar who needs that spotlight.

Grade: B-

Damien Sandow has a promo. Same deal as the past few weeks.

Brodus Clay def. Hunico:

What I Liked:

So, Clay seems to fit back into what he is known for. Once again, he gets a squash over an irrelavent opponent.

What I Disliked:

You finally give him some credibility in a tag match with Santino to face off against Swagger and Ziggler, but now he is relegated back to his old song and dance. What is the point of this? Also, is everyone sick of Hornswoggle like I am? You have to be because there is no reason for him to be on TV. God, the writing is awful here for this segment.
