Title This: WWE Superstars Reaction 9-8-2011

JTG vs. Mason Ryan Review:

Mason Ryan is seen in the ring for the first time in about three or four months. Ryan uses his power to take JTG to the corner, as JTG looks scared. Ryan stalks him, and JTG plays a cat and mouse game. JTG pounds away at the back of Ryan, until Ryan hits a shoulder block, and drives his shoulder in the stomach of JTG. He throws him down with a power slam, hits a boot to the face, and JTG rolls to the outside. JTG chops down Ryan , but a big clothesline gives Ryan the advantage. JTG goes for a ride following the body drop, followed by a clothesline into the corner, again. JTG hits a punch to the face, but Ryan catches JTG and he hits a power slam, followed by knees to the back. Ryan hits a pump handle slam for the victory.

Reaction:

Last time we saw Ryan, he was a heel with Nexus. JTG is a heel currently, so it looks like the face turn of Ryan begins coming back from his injury. Ryan is extremely powerful and looks to have a bright future. He is still slow and needs time to progress in the ring. He is limited with clotheslines and body slams, but he does have the look to continue to grow. He is similar to Brodus Clay in what he can and cannot do yet, but Ryan at least faces competition that makes him look good. JTG could be a good heel given time and a feud to work with, but there is not enough time and room for him on Smackdown. This was an average match, but I was interested to see how two completely different superstars worked together. There were no missed spots, and it worked for me. This segment gets a C+.

Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins vs. Percy Watson and Titus O’Neil Review:

Watson and Reks starts the match off, as Watson hits a nice dropkick, getting a lot of air. Reks tags in Hawkins, as Hawkins hits a dropkick, and tags Reks back in. Reks hits a nice modified scoop slam, and the tag team of Hawkins and Reks take out Watson. Watson hits a back drop on Hawkins, and hits a hot tag to Titus O’Neil. Titus hits a shoulder block, followed by an atomic drop. He hits a clothesline, exploding off the ropes. Watson takes out Hawkins,  but Hawkins and Reks regain their momemtum and hits a nice double team reverse body slam for the win.

Reaction:

I liked seeing these four guys working together in a match that gains them exposure. Titus at 6’4 and 270 pounds can really pick up the pace of the match. I was impressed with the few minutes he was given, because he exploded and picked up the lack of pace from Watson. Reks is always a good wrestler, and Hawkins impressed me the most. He was more meticulous in the ring, working on his opponent and picking spots to finish his opponents off. Every guy showed me “something” which is huge especially for the young guys who are trying to make an impact. With the fast paced offense at the end, and the quick pin, I hope to see this match again. This segment gets a B-. Good, entertaining, and did not look like rookies from Watson and O’Neil.
