Title This: WWE Monday Night Raw 9-5-11 Reaction:

Opening Segment Review:

CM Punk opens the show tonight. He sits in the middle of the ring, and talks about how he is different. He discusses how he acts, speaks, and walks differently than anyone else. He goes on to call himself a target because he pisses a lot of people off. He wants to kick Nash in the face, and says he is the status quo of wrestling. He talks about all of his similarities. Punk wants Nash to be different, and face him like a man with no backers. Punk rips into Nash as he makes his way out. Nash says HHH did him a favor, so Punk would not be killed. Punk interrupts him, talks about his age, and how he has not been relevant since 1994. Triple H comes out to interrupt Punk. Nash calls punk a cancer, and how he needs to get rid of Punk. Triple H enters the ring, and talks about how he found out the truth. He received a call from the Staples Center, and security footage was given to him from the night of Summerslam. He said Nash sent himself the text from Triple H's phone. Nash owns up to it, made the WWE cool, and he made it exciting. Nash goes on to say he or Punk needs to go. Triple H calls Nash a liar, and Nash interrupts Triple H before he tries to fire him. Nash talks about their friendship, and how a push to Triple H is what this is about. Nash gets into the face of Triple H, pushes him and asks what he is going to do about it. Triple H punches Nash, and fires him. CM Punk points and laughs at Nash as we go to break.

Reaction:

Besides being let down by who sent the text, which has been building for weeks, this segment was pretty good. I wish Punk interjected more, as it moved away from his match with Triple H and more of a personal friendship. It is not Nash v. Triple H, its Triple H v. Punk, and I feel they needed to interact much more in the ring than they did. The text drama was solved, and failed. There were many ways they could have gone, but I am still hoping something else comes out of this, which it more than likely will. There needs to be some sort of power struggle or descent between Triple H and someone else. I want to see that, and everyone wants to see where this can go. Good chemistry of Nash and Triple H, but there needed to be more focus on the match in two weeks rather than Nash. This segment gets a C, as this is still not over between Nash and everyone else.

We see Nash and John Lauranitis leave in a limo.

Air Boom vs. Jinder Mahal and Great Khali Review:

Mahal begins working on Bourne with chops to the back, but Bourne hits a hurricanranna and kicks down Mahal. Mahal follows up with a knee to the face and a suplex to get a two count. Khali does his usual offensive moves, kicking and slapping Bourne to gain the offensive. He tags Mahal back in, hits a body slam, and knees Bourne in the chest over and over. Bourne gets a hot tag to Kofi, who explodes onto Mahal. He hits a drop kick , and a flying clothesline. Khali lowers the rope and Kofi is sidetracked. Khali hit Mahal, Kofi tags in Bourne, and the Air Bourne finishes off Mahal and Khali.

Reaction:

Shockingly, I enjoyed this match. Jinder Mahal does not do much for me, but he showed a few good offensive moves in his arsenal. Kofi and Bourne should have controlled offensively more to show they are not the underdogs, but they sold the moves and made Mahal look good without looking weak. Air Boom needs to show more offensive throughout, as the match was a little rushed, but in 5 minutes, they did what they needed to be entertaining. This segment gets a C, just because there was not much time.

Alberto Del Rio is shown entering the arena in his car. About time we get to see the WWE Champion.
