5. This past Saturday’s WWE Daily Diva was Candice Michelle. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Candice in a WWE ring, so WWE.com posted a brand new picture of her current status on the website. I decided to post it below for those who may have missed it:
6. Joey Styles updated his WWE Universe blog thanking “dirt sheet” websites for posting his Obama babble awhile back. Styles writes “First and foremost, I would like to thank all the wrestling dirt sites that took notice and linked to my passionate tweets at twitter.com/wwejoeystyles. All of the media coverage has resulted in a 20% increase in followers in a single week!”
He’s thanking internet sites for posting his nonsense? Getting great traffic on your Twitter page because people can’t wait to see how you’re going to make an ass out of yourself next is like waiting in line for three days to see a concent and the reward for your patience is seeing John Mayer.
7. WWE is seeking a new female ring announcer. The company placed an ad on ActorsAccess.com looking for a young, attractive female to sing the national anthem and be a regular television announcer.
This announcement has lead to a lot of speculation that WWE might be looking to replace Lillian Garcia. But I didn’t take it that way. Notice the ad says “looking for an attractive female who can sing.” That doesn’t apply to Lillian. (Zing).
8. Scott Hall is set to receive a “Rebel of Wrestling” award at Justin Credible’s “Icons of Pro Wrestling” event. Here’s a picture of the award Hall will be receiving:
That’s gonna do it for this week’s edition of The Not News of the Week. You can catch the news every Monday right here on WrestleZone, and remember, if it’s not worth talking about, it’s definitely Not News. Thanks for reading, and please send any feedback to VOWNick@gmail.com!
