Nick’s Pay-Per-Review: WWE Survivor Series 2009

What’s up wrestling fans? I’m back with another edition of Nick’s Pay-Per-Review, this time taking a look at WWE’s annual Thanksgiving tradition known as Survivor Series.

On the whole, I thought last night’s show was very good, and one of the strongest Survivor Series shows in recent memory. Although it may have been uneventful in the way of title changes or surprises, the show was very well booked, the right people shined as they should have, and the matches all paid off as solid wrestling contests.

Back in the day, the Survivor Series PPV consisted only of elimination matches, so it was easier for WWE to book individuals to look strong in each match, as there was more time devoted to the traditional elimination bouts. Nowadays, with title matches and singles matches added to the card in addition to the elimination matches, it’s often difficult for every wrestler to shine in the elimination matches, and you can’t help but feel that one of more wrestlers seem "screwed" out of a good PPV showing. Such was the case last night, but not nearly as much as it has been in past years. I’ll get into the specifics as I break down each match.

So with that, let’s take a look at all the action from our Nation’s Capital last night….
