The Wrestling
Kelly Kelly vs Alicia Fox: As I said before, it’s good to see a Diva’s match mean something, and although this was by no means a classic, it was decent. Alicia Fox and Kelly Kelly both suffer from opposite problems. Alicia Fox is improving in the ring, but has absolutely no connection with the audience. Kelly gets a good pop from the crowd because she’s so beautiful, but seems to be leveling off as an in-ring performer. She was on the right track when 2009 started off, but she really needs to keep at her ring game if she ever wants to have a run as the Divas Champ.
Legacy vs Mark Henry and Evan Bourne: The pre-match stuff between Rhodes and DiBiase was great. It both added fuel to the ongoing Legacy fire, and it also hyped The Royal Rumble well by acknowledging the "every man for himself" mind set of the bout itself. On the flip side, the match itself really didn’t help anyone as Bourne and Henry, at this point, are glorified jobbers. There was some decent action from Bourne during the match, but like I said before, what would have made this bout memorable would have been to give it 10 minutes and allow Legacy and Bourne to impress in the ring.
