EXCLUSIVE: Former WWE Writer Blogs About WrestleMania 26

6.       How can Jim Ross be in Phoenix and not call either Taker vs. Shawn or Bret vs. Vince?

7.       Really scaled back “cool entrances” this year.  Sure there was some pyro but it seems that Wrestlemania is when all the stops are pulled out.  At the party I was at, some people commented that “grand spectacle is what WWE does very well”.

8.       Bret vs. Vince and HBK vs. Undertaker were both angles started in 1997.

9.       HBK has really solidified his place as one of the best ever.  Not sure which run of his is more impressive – pre 1997 or post 2002.

10.   Who are the talents that have debuted in WWE after 2006 that will be remembered after this Wrestlemania?

Overall this show showed why WWE is the best.  A huge crowd of over 70,000, a marquee event and wrestlers leaving everything they had in the ring.  It’s a great time for the business because change will be happening.  What is “the present” will soon become the past.  And the future is so close.

It’s exciting to be working for Ring of Honor where we’re trying to help create a new future for the business.   On April 3rd, we’ll be presenting our next iPPV THE BIG BANG on www.gofightlive.tv.   If you’re looking for the same production values that you got from Wrestlemania 26, you won’t get it.  What you will get is quality in ring action delivered by a talent roster who is hungry and ready for the spotlight.  You can see the whole card at www.rohwrestling.com.  The main event is a threeway match for the ROH World Title between the new champion Tyler Black vs. former champion Austin Aries vs. Roderick Strong.   Check out this video for a preview.
