Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins’ Rumble Wins Bring Life To RAW, Bryan Superb As SmackDown Turns Toward WrestleMania

On the Blue Brand things seem much clearer. Of course, that is easier when you can just drop a handful of your best guys into an Elimination Chamber match.

Despite the fanfare, there is no doubt that Daniel Bryan is coming out of Elimination Chamber with his newly created Hemp WWE Championship. His role as the heel champion really could not be going any better and his segments are must watch on a weekly basis.

Whoever decided to finally pull the trigger and make the move to Bryan as the hated heel deserves some praise, because it took guts and it has paid off big time.

AJ Styles, oddly enough, is not as entertaining as the face chasing the title as he was as the face with the title, but he is still a target for Bryan and the feud has elevated both. The question is can others get involved and be elevated?

Mustafa Ali certainly will gain from being in the title picture, but can Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy or Samoa Joe really gain anything coming out of this event? And will there be sufficient time to build for their WrestleMania feuds following the Chamber loss?

It seems The Viper vs. The Phenomenal One would be a solid match for The Granddaddy of Them All. But Joe has been paired with everyone in this match, so what can be done with him to make things fresh?

And the other problem Tuesday nights is faced with is the women’s division. With Lynch making the move to RAW to face Rousey, and the possibility that Flair will be inserted into that match, what does that leave for Asuka, who just made The Man tap out at the Rumble?

There is no legitimate threat for her on the roster and it is nearly impossible to make her play the heel against someone like Naomi. Flair vs. Asuka II would still draw, but if there is a big push to insert The Queen into the top battle, then that would be off the table.

I like the visibility being given to Andrade and he pays it off with solid performances every time he gets a chance. With the WWE facing real competition with deep pockets in the future it is going to be interesting to see what they can do with talent like this that needs to shine but does not have a ton of room to work.

R-Truth winning the United States Championship was one of the best surprises of the new year as he is more than deserving and has been a solid mainstay for years. He is huge in live events and the crowd eats it up when he does his thing. Nice to see him rewarded.

The tag team division is also being buried by a team that is clearly on a path to a WrestleMania matchup. The Miz and Shane McMahon are fun right now, but The Bar, The Usos and The New Day have been so good for so long that it is tough seeing them have to play second fiddle to a single buildup.

Elimination Chamber is right around the corner and we are firmly on the road to WrestleMania. Should be another fun week coming up.
