In what many consider the single best match of 2016, DiY and The Revival put everything on the line in this 2-out-of-3 falls match for the NXT Tag Team titles. DiY wanted it and the fans seemed to want them to win even more. What the two teams displayed in the ring was tag team excellence at its best.
The storytelling, the close finishes, the excitement and ultimately, the payoff made it one of the most memorable matches in NXT Takeover history. The ending saw DiY capture both Dash and Dawson in the Gargano escape to simultaneously submit them and become NXT Tag Team Champions. The crowd erupting made the moment perfect in one of the biggest “feel-good” moments in NXT to date.
